We are currently taking applications for paraeducators and teachers for positions starting now, for summer and next fall.

HB.69 Legislation

Dear Utah,

Autism insurance reform legislation, HB.69, has been introduced in Utah. It's time now to urge YOUR House Representative to sign on to the bill as a co-sponsor. HB 69 will enable Utah to join the ranks of 29 other states and end the discrimination practiced by health insurance companies against people with autism.

This bill will also save the state's taxpayers millions of dollars in avoidable future costs for special education and social service programs, as well as create health care jobs.

The time is short to get this done in 2012. All the preparation over the past few months was in readiness for this campaign. Below is a quick and easy way to get to the next step.

Here is How YOU Can Help:

1)  CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND ASK THEM TO CO-SPONSOR HB 69.We have a quick script for you below to get you started. Ask for their support with a smile on your face - it will automatically make you sound more friendly and less nervous!  CALL: Rep. LaVar Christensen Phone: (801) 538-1029  "Hi. My name is (NAME). I live in (City) in your district. I am calling to ask Representative (NAME) to do our family a favor by cosponsoring HB 69, the autism insurance reform bill. THANKS!" No legislator information above? You can go to Utah here to find it! 2) EMAIL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE.We get you started with a basic email here. If you can add one small paragraph to personalize your message, this will make your message more effective. This will take you less than 2 minutes to do! (If you live in District 1, thank Representative Menlove for her sponsorship with an email at: rmenlove@le.utah.gov) 3) SPREAD THE WORDAfter you complete step #2, use your favorite social media to spread the word. Tweet it. Facebook it.
